We are not meant to create alone—and frankly, we can’t.

At Cheshire Moon Productions, we build family through art and interdependence. We hold space for artists to thrive in community—where stories are sacred, and the process is as transformative as the work itself.

Sarah Carter, CEO

Sarah Carter is a filmmaker, actor, musician, and the founder and CEO of Cheshire Moon Productions. After two decades in film and television (SharkFalling SkiesThe Vow), she made her directorial debut with In Her Name, which premiered at Tribeca and went on to receive 50+ festival honors worldwide.

A lifelong artist and seeker, Sarah’s work bridges creativity and healing. She is the lead singer of SanguinDrake, her genre-defying band, and curates Petits Salons, an intimate film and music series based in Los Angeles. She mentors emerging storytellers through workshops and women’s circles grounded in Core Energetics and the teachings of Dr. Clarissa Pinkola Estés.

Her debut children’s book, Chrisalice, honors her late brother and celebrates children’s emotional intelligence, imagination, and resilience. Whether through film, music, or story, Sarah creates from the belief that healing starts at home—and every act is a creative act.
