I’m Kelsey Lansdowne, Strategic Partnerships Lead at Cheshire Moon Productions. I work with Sarah, stewarding the relationships, narratives, and long-view intentions that shape Moon House. From the earliest conversations to the most granular decisions, I’ve had the privilege of witnessing this project up close, not only as a creative undertaking but as a lived commitment. What follows is a reflection on where we’ve been, what has taken root, and where the work is resolutely headed.

On Monday, December 15th, we screened a selection of short films curated by NÒT FILM FEST founders Gio Labadessa and Alizé Latini.

On Monday, December 8th, we celebrated the digital release of POOLS with A Petits Salons rendezvous at Petit Ermitage Rooftop. It's a screening, it's a show, it's a chance to drink Christmas cocktails and get merch giveaways and presents, and it's a chance to dance.

Dog of God is a rotoscoped animation that depicts a 17th century witch trial in Livonia that uncovers a werewolf within a devout community. The film has received two European Film Academy awards for European Film and European Animated Feature Film.

On a faraway mountaintop, eight teenaged guerillas with guns watch over a hostage and a conscripted milk cow. Playing games and initiating cult-like rituals, the children run amok in the jungle, and disaster strikes when the hostage tries to escape.

PROOF Film Festival is a Los Angeles-based festival dedicated to showcasing the best in proof-of-concept short films, fueled by American Cinematheque. PROOF is a highly competitive and uniquely curated short film festival dedicated to proof-of-concept storytelling—offering emerging filmmakers a launchpad for larger projects. More than just a festival, PROOF opens doors for future filmmaking opportunities and serves as a one-stop shop for discovering the next wave of talent.

Grief is a strange teacher. It deepens love, reshapes time, and reveals beauty.

Tap dancing, burlesque, and a pool party accompanied the screening, a brand new old Hollywood musical with beautiful girls tap dancing and handsome men crooning. “It Girl” Clara Bow was notorious for pushing men off the diving boards, and you can too. Wear your finest or nothing at all. A night to remember - or forget.

Another Monday, another magical night on the Petit Ermitage rooftop. Petits Salons is back Monday, October 6th with film and music under the stars.

Join us for a screening of Requiem for a Dream, presented by producer Eric Watson, who produced Requiem for a Dream with Aronofsky as well as Pi and The Fountain. Watson will discuss making this groundbreaking film in their twenties running around New York City. Come for this master class on bold indie filmmaking and with any questions of your own.

This newsletter is meant to be a comfort and a spark; a space that holds ideas, opportunities, and stories that invite curiosity, reflection, and creative action. Whether I’m taking you along the festival circuit, sharing our wild nights at Petits Salons, or highlighting our various events; premieres, book launches, sharing circles, and music gatherings, my hope is that as we share these pivotal moments (and their challenges), we feel more connected to what’s possible for ourselves and to what we can co-create together from right where we are with, being who we are, with the abundance right at our finger tips.

Our screening of POOLS was our biggest night at Petits Salons yet. With live music from Haute and Freddy, synchronized swimming by Aquabatix USA, coverage from The Hollywood Reporter, and a pool party to accompany the screening, this was a night for the ages. Thank you to everyone who came out and joined us!

This past weekend, Scene House had its World Premiere at Nòt Film Festival in Santarcangelo di Romagna, Italy. We are delighted to report that the film took home two awards — Best Director for Annabella Fazio and Best Performance for THE ENTIRE CAST!

CMP is partnering with Women in Film: A Panel Discussion to present their annual panel at Venice International Film Festival. "Reframing the Lens: How Can Women Transform Global Filmmaking?" will be held on Wednesday, September 3rd at 2pm (Sala Bianca Via P. Buratti 1 Lido de Venezia).
