Petits Salons Presents: Dance of the Wild
This Monday, March 2nd, we screened the documentary Dance of the Wild.
Doors opened at 7pm for a live musical performance from Laine Foreman and Darby Gaëlle Hannon in the Wiggle Room. Following the performance, we had our screening of Dance of the Wild out on the fire deck.
The film is a poetic journey into humanity's timeless bond and fascination with the wild horse, a connection that mirrors our relationship to nature, spirit, and the deeper layers of the soul. Through sweeping landscapes, intimate stories, and teachings rooted in natural law, the film reveals why wild horses are more than symbols of American heritage - they are sentient, mystical beings whose wisdom is vital to our survival and evolution.
**This screening included a Q&A with the film’s director, cinematographer, and editor Chance Foreman.
Last week at Petits Salons featured Evolution Mallorca’s Short Film Showcase
On Monday, February 23rd at Petits Salons we celebrated a night of short films from Evolution Mallorca Film Festival, as well as the festival’s incredible founder Sandra Seeling Lipski.
Doors opened at 7pm with live music from Sun Suede in the Wiggle Room. Around 8pm we moved out to the fire deck for the screenings. This powerful short film selection shines a light on stories about women — complex, resilient, and instinctively driven — navigating turning points in their lives.
Our lineup included:
Synthesize Me – Bear Damen (SXSW Premiere)
A Place Between Us – Daniela Garza
Someday It Is – Carissa Gallo (Starring Jodi Balfour)
The Heart of Texas – Gregory Kasunich (Winner, Goldfinch Innovation Award EMIFF 2024)
Sandra Seeling Lipski founded Evolution Mallorca International Film Festival back in 2012 as a way to celebrate independent cinema coming out of the island. The festival quickly grew into the “Sundance of the Mediterranean,” honoring independent film from around the world with a distinctive focus on new talent and outstanding cinematography.
In addition to her work with Evolution Mallorca, Sandra is the founder of The Festival Key, a consulting company that empowers new filmmakers to navigate the festival circuit strategically. The company works with filmmakers at all stages of development via one-on-one consultations to form the best film festival strategy for their individual project. They also consult with burgeoning film festivals to help them strengthen their own programs and achieve their goals.

A Once in a Lifetime Planetary Alignment
One week ago, on February 20th, 2026, we experienced a once in a lifetime phenomenon — Saturn and Neptune were in Aries at 0 degrees. It will be hundreds of years before this precise alignment happens again.
This alignment is a metaphor for new beginnings, not only in our personal lives, but for all of humanity. Though these evolutions may not be instantly felt or seen, this day marks a long term shift for the tides to turn in our lives.
With so much heartache and turmoil in the world, this alignment offers an opportunity for us all to help usher in a change. Saturn specifically represents the need for intentional shifts for long term growth, and the merge with Neptune offers a commitment to this behavioral shift.
Change is signified by the planetary alignment, but can only be fully embodied through thoughtful action. Take advantage of this rare occurrence to express your deepest self and change your community — and our world — for the better.
