Petits Salons Presents: Dog of God

Last night, we celebrated another night of film and music on the magical rooftop of Petit Ermitage Hotel with an exclusive invite-only presentation of the animated feature film DOG OF GOD presented by producer Gio Labadessa.

Doors opened at 7:00pm where we settled into the evening atmosphere. Music started by 7:30pm. After the performance, we’ll move out to the fire deck for our screening of Dog of God.

Dog of God is a rotoscoped animation that depicts a 17th century witch trial in Livonia that uncovers a werewolf within a devout community. The film has received two European Film Academy awards for European Film and European Animated Feature Film.

**This screening included a Q&A with producer Gio Labadessa.

Petits Salons is an ongoing collaboration between Petit Ermitage, Cheshire Moon Productions, and Blkbrd Films. Don't miss out on this very special evening and unique opportunity to network with fellow arthouse film lovers!

Moon House

SO... it’s clear we won’t be finished with the house in time for Thanksgiving.

Everyone has been working hard every day but we’re all hanging on a string of twists — a breakthrough one day, torrential rain exposing literal (and metaphorical) leaks the next… then a new idea, a new direction... and so a new challenge.

Learning to live with a constant revolving door of crews working in the house 6 days a week, when to hold boundaries, how to hold boundaries, when to rise above, when to stay vulnerable, when to protect, what to protect— it’s been exhausting, but it’s also strengthened my faith in the power of honesty. Any time I’ve ever leapt in the direction of love... the muck rises and the only way out is through.

Dealing with the nuts and bolts of a home build makes that all too literal… but it also becomes clear who is willing to go the distance, willing to be generous, be messy, to forgive, to solve the problem, and to ask for what they need to bring their best to manifest the vision everyone is inspired by. Those are my people and these are my lessons to learn.

I realized today Moon House had been in the works an entire year now. This project has stretched me, slowed me down, and taught me to trust myself.

When the dust finally settles, I know I’ll look back with gratitude — would’ve been nice if that day were Thanksgiving, but here we are.

I feel immense appreciation for everyone who has stayed the course… especially in the mess.
