Petits Salons Presents: MONOS
On November 17th, we celebrated another great night of film and music on the magical rooftop of Petit Ermitage Hotel with our screening of Neon’s Monos.
Doors opened at 7:00pm for our guests to settle into the evening atmosphere. At 7:30pm, we gathered in the Wiggle Room to listen to live music from film composer Brad Oberhofer. After the performance, we moved out to the fire deck for our screening of Alejandro Landes' Monos.
On a faraway mountaintop, eight teenaged guerillas with guns watch over a hostage and a conscripted milk cow. Playing games and initiating cult-like rituals, the children run amok in the jungle, and disaster strikes when the hostage tries to escape.
"A monumentally cinematic experience" - ROGEREBERT.COM
“Stunning. At the scale of Apocalypse Now." - POLYGON
“Mesmerizing. A powerful new voice in cinema." - GUILLERMO DEL TORO
**This screening included a Q&A with director Alejandro Landes and producer Duke Merriman.
