Twenty One Tonnes Seconds Sale

Moon House is proud to have partnered with Twenty One Tonnes. This weekend there’s an opportunity to support their mission and learn more about SWOPA.

Twenty One Tonnes partners with SWOPA, a women's organization in northern Ghana providing skills training to young women and preserving traditional craft knowledge. They purchase pieces made by trainees for several reasons:

  • To support SWOPA's mission to give young women marketable skills

  • To support their work preserving knowledge of traditional craft by passing it down to the next generation

Many of these pieces don't make the cut, but some turn out to be favorites and beloved new designs.

Visit Twenty One Tonnes on February 6th to shop the pieces that didn't make the cut. Slightly irregular shapes, weave variations, or experimental forms - these beautiful pieces are perfectly imperfect, and they're priced to move.

Can't make it in person? Any remaining pieces will be available to shop by virtual appointment the week of February 9–13. Flat-rate shipping for small, medium and large orders will be applied. Book your studio appointment through the online booking calendar.

THE MOON TONIGHT

With so much violence, separation, and distrust I hope this message from Mystic Mama lands as a reminder that we are supported by the universe to trust our hearts, our passions, and our capacity to choose to come together and rise in joy even in the midst, especially in the midst, of darkness…

“We have a FULL MOON rising…

LEO ignites this most powerful month of February with a burning flame…

LEO reminds us that warmth and affection are the glue that binds us together as kin…

PLUTO is bubbling the depths so that we can see and release what is toxic, what is conditioned thinking, what is controlling, manipulative, what is reactive and what is fear based…

Deep breaths in and out and heart centered movement that is in congruence with our nervous systems are all part of the activation that is occurring…

A lot of what we are learning to navigate within this LEO/AQUARIUS axis has to do with our ability to anchor into our hearts and trust our own inner authority so that we can participate within the group without self-abandoning…

We also must move out of the mind and ideology and into our heart and what unites us…”

~ Mystic Mama

And from Chloe Zhao, the same humanitarian and unifying sentiment:

“I'm constantly not on the right side of history. I sympathize with the soldiers in the enemy's camp. For example in WWII, we know the Nazis and the Japanese were wrong. But I sympathize with the individual story of a soldier who was drafted into that.”

Let’s continue to share in the freedom, truth, and beauty we have a right and a duty to cultivate and celebrate.

With love…
