Scene House Screens at PROOF Film Festival

On November 8th, Scene House screened at PROOF Film Festival!

PROOF Film Festival is a Los Angeles-based festival dedicated to showcasing the best in proof-of-concept short films, fueled by American Cinematheque. PROOF is a highly competitive and uniquely curated short film festival dedicated to proof-of-concept storytelling—offering emerging filmmakers a launchpad for larger projects.

A proof-of-concept is a short film that effectively conveys the concept, story, tone, and themes of a potential feature film or television series. More than just a festival, PROOF opens doors for future filmmaking opportunities and serves as a one-stop shop for discovering the next wave of talent.

Our first screening was in Discovery Block #6, a block dedicated to "the act or process of seeing, finding, or gaining knowledge of something previously unknown." Scene House will be accompanied by some truly formidable films, including Thirstygirl by Alexandra Qin, Sweetly by Brett Maline and Christian Lybrook, and I Didn't Like You by Parker Fenady. Our second screening was in Encore Block #5 and #6.

Thank you so much to PROOF Film Festival Founder and American Cinematheque Programmer Imani Davis for including us in their incredible program. We met Imani back in March during our collaboration between Petits Salons and PROOF Film Festival Shorts, and we’re thrilled Scene House could be a part of this year’s festival.

Petits Salons Presents a Private Screening of Love & Irony

On Monday, November 10th, we held a private early screening of LOVE & IRONY.

Doors opened at 7pm. Guests enjoyed drinks at the bar and socializing on the rooftop before our musical performance began at 7:30pm.

After the musical performance, we moved to the fire deck for an early screening of Love & Irony. The search for an authentic life leads an existential bike mechanic to discover the universal truths and transformative powers of love.

This was an exclusive invite-only event. Join our newsletter to learn about future exclusive events, and visit our Petits Salons page regularly for our biweekly screenings.

Evolution Mallorca

We were thrilled to share Scene House at the Evolution Mallorca International Film Festival, where the film had its Spanish premiere to an incredible audience. The film was well received by many attending the festival and we made great connections with up-and-coming filmmakers from all over the world.

Thank you so much to Sandra Seeling, Founder and Director of Evolution Mallorca, for having us and all she does to support new filmmakers. We are honored to be a part of the Evolution Mallorca family. Can't wait to be back!

Thank you NYC, HBO, and the Entire Team at Religion of Sports

Kev and I flew to New York this week for the premiere of ALEX VS AROD, the new HBO Original three-part documentary — a huge milestone for my husband, Kevin Barth. He started this project three years ago as lead editor and finished earning additional credits as a producer and co-writer on top of editing the doc for Gotham Chopra alongside director Erik LeDrew and his brother Alec Barth, keeping it all in the fam — the brilliant Ali Helnwein composed the score.

Sitting in the theater at the Director's Guild surrounded by so many purpose driven creatives at Religion of Sports I felt so moved — not just by the final doc and Alex’s story but by the years of devotion, and sensitivity I witnessed that led to this release with HBO.

New York energy is always inspiring, but this trip felt especially promising. So proud of my love.

Alex vs ARod is available NOW on HBO.

We stayed at the Bowery Hotel during our NYC trip — a place that holds so many pivotal memories. Being there again, a year into our renovation project, I noticed how much of its design has influenced my taste and so Moon House: floor-to-ceiling windows, Oushak rugs, marble detailing, antique sofas, stone fireplaces, reclaimed wood — layers of history that feel effortlessly lived-in. Before Moon House, I was interested but knew nothing about intentional design. Now I can’t help but notice the impact of each element on the experience of a space. I shared some interior design inspo from the hotel on Instagram.

Thank you the crew and brand partners who have made this experience possible as well as being rewarding and collaborative: Stone Guard LA, Reclaimed Woodsource and Woodworking Masters who have found that they love working together and are up for creating some important accent pieces in Moon House.

Upcoming features will include exciting new partners: Studio Luddite, Corsten Lights, Revival Rugs 21 Tonnes, and Arte Walls to name a few.

Moon House

It felt auspicious to fly home from New York to Los Angeles in a sunset that lasted 3 hours beside the full moon.

Looking out over the city that has held our biggest dreams, sitting beside Kev and realizing how many we have already manifested.

At the end of the day, it was our relationship and appreciating everything we have built together that inspired me more than anything.

Beauty is meant to be shared.
