Scene House Official Selections: Tickets Available Now

Evolution Mallorca International Film Festival

We are thrilled to share that Scene House will have its European Premiere at Evolution Mallorca International Film Festival!

We are honored to join Evolution Mallorca this October. A huge thank you to Sandra Seeling, festival founder and director. The festival has a long history of distinguished committee members including Ruben Ostlund and Mads Mikkelson. The Scene House frenzy has set in, and we are here for it!

The festival will run from October 21st-29th in Palma de Mallorca, Spain. Evolution Mallorca’s mission is “BRIDGING CULTURES - BRIDGING PEOPLE” via international film, building a strong community of independent filmmakers to come together and thrive. Their 2025 program will feature over 150 films, their largest to date.

Cheshire Moon Productions, has screened at Evolution Mallorca previously, celebrating In Her Name at the festival in 2022. While attending in Mallorca, Sarah was featured in the Finding Your Feet in the International Film Market Panel alongside Kim Magnusson, an industry titan with two Academy Awards under his belt. Magnusson won for his producing work on two separate short films, Helium and Election Night.

Scene House takes place in a dystopian future where actors live as exhibits for Observers. One begins to question reality, blurring lines between performance and truth. Scene House will screen in the “Future Vision” Shorts Block on Thursday, October 23rd at 6pm in Cineciutat Sala 2. Click the link below to get your tickets today!

Petits Salons Presents: Test Subject V

Another Monday, another magical night on the Petit Ermitage rooftop. Petits Salons was back on Monday, October 13th with film and music under the stars.

Doors opened at 7pm. We enjoyed drinks at the bar and socializing on the rooftop before our musical performance by Patrick Costello began at 7:30pm. After the musical performance, we headed out to the fire deck for our screening of Test Subject V.

Set in India across scenic visuals and a unique animated world, this docu-drama follows the real-life journey of a middle-aged, overweight, debaucherous man as he uncovers new information that counters generations of programming, tradition, religion, and cultural beliefs. This “test subject” endures an array of trials while being extremely vulnerable and honest to camera. In a world powered by propaganda, the film attempts to move beyond and becomes an inspiring human story of courage and triumph.

**This screening included a Q&A with Vikrant Chopra (Associate Producer), Kunal Avanti (Producer/Lead), and Sol Kohli (Director).

Next at Petits Salons: Satyrica

Our next Petits Salons on Monday, October 20th is a special one — get ready for a pool party, tap dancing, and burlesque!

Join us on October 20th for a classic hedonistic old Hollywood pool party ushering in a new Garden of Allah. The kind of night where Marlene Dietrich would swim nude or F. Scott Fitzgerald could party while Zelda was in a sanitarium.

The night will begin with live music from the iconic Glüme who will be joining us for the second time. With synth-pop torch songs, Rolling Stone called her sound “eerie and Lynchian… the kind of tracks made for driving around LA at night.” Perfect for this city. Perfect for Petits Salons.

Doors open at 7pm. Enjoy drinks at the bar or socializing on the rooftop before our musical performance begins at 7:30pm. Seating is limited, so make sure to join us in the Wiggle Room as early as possible to get a good spot.

After the musical performance, join us out on the fire deck for our screening of Satyrica. Amid the glamor of a film empire at its height, two performers, Bette and Rita, find the ennui of decadence tends toward petty cruelty, and even love may be an insufficient antidote, just another snake bite oil cure. Original Musical Screenplay by Viola Odette Harlow — otherwise known as Glüme.

Tap dancing, burlesque, and a pool party will accompany the screening. Come see a brand new old Hollywood musical with beautiful girls tap dancing and handsome men crooning. “It Girl” Clara Bow was notorious for pushing men off the diving boards and now you can too. Wear your finest or nothing at all. Come enjoy a night to remember-or forget.

Tickets will be available starting Tuesday, October 14th. Check out Petits Salons for more information. Optional valet parking is $15.

**This screening will include a Q&A with Viola Odette Harlow, who is both our musical guest and the writer/star of Satyrica.

Moon House and the Creative Process

Moon House has been teaching me that renovation is as much about listening as it is about building.

“It was only when I was actively passive, and content to wait and watch, that I really knew what I wanted.” — Marion Milner

Letting beauty reveal itself slowly… and realizing how rare it is to find people in this business willing to stay the course with humility, accountability, and commitment to excellence.

Coming from the worlds of acting, filmmaking, healing, and storytelling, I’ve learned that only an unknown path can lead to outcomes greater than any one person could imagine.

When I started this process, I had no idea how I would afford it or where it would take me. All I had was an impulse — a knowing that this was the time, the encouragement, the support, and a team to share the vision with. I knew I had just enough to begin because I’d been here before: moving to Los Angeles for acting, exploring music, saying yes to marriage, to motherhood, to filmmaking.

Moon House felt like another leap into the unknown.

Almost a year ago, I knew it was time to create a space that felt truly mine — a home that could hold both magic and daily life.

None of it made sense on paper — the California fires, no steady job, collaborators who had never done this kind of work either. What I was really investing in was the unknown. But that’s what I’ve always done. And honestly, that’s what we’re all doing every day — we just cling to assurances that don’t actually exist.

Culturally, it’s become about landing the job, closing the deal, chasing the partnership — instead of surrendering to what the creative process really requires. For me, Moon House has become my way of welcoming the world into a space that reflects a different standard: investing in the people, pieces, and ideas that resonate with my soul, and trusting in divine timing (as frustrating as that can be) to bring my foundation and felt experience into alignment.

The result is a space that feels like art — a true collection of what moves me.

MY COURAGEOUS PIVOT

If you’re interested in a deeper conversation around faith and making life choices that feel aligned, you can listen to my conversation with Megan Telpner, long time friend, and host of the Courageous Pivot podcast.

“This is essential listening for creative professionals and entrepreneurs who have found external success but are discovering that showing up authentically in their work feels more terrifying than any career risk they've ever taken.

What if your most successful career moves were actually the easy part, and showing up as your authentic self was the real challenge?

In this deeply vulnerable conversation, actress, producer, and director Sarah Carter reveals why launching her new website - simply being honest about who she is and what she does - has left her more terrified than any of her Hollywood pivots. Despite leaving university after booking her first six auditions, starring in hit series like "Falling Skies," and successfully transitioning from actor to award-winning filmmaker, Sarah describes experiencing a "vulnerability hangover" from finally showing up authentically.”

Much love until next week.
